how scout works

Submit 250 words or less and three of your most amazing images. Your work will be reviewed by our editors and may be placed on the website in our voting platform. Documentary style writings, poetry and short stories are highly encouraged to accompany images.

Here is the coolest part. SCOUT is run by its viewers. We only print the stories you want to read. The top stories will be put into print and distributed throughout the world! Photographers get printed. Writers get published. Best of all we don't believe in advertising in art books.

Once your adventure has been voted into print our design team will reach out to you asking for more content. As many as 50 images and two to three thousand words of writing. SCOUT uses editors and designers to proof and print your work before it goes to publishing.

The final step. Once the book has been published it can be ordered on our site. If you contain a feature in a published book you will receive a copy. Your writings and photos will be viewed by anyone who reads our books or visits SCOUTJOURNALS.COM
